REST & THE CITY combines both!
Join alone or with friends and family members. As part of this community gathering, time will be allotted at the beginning and after class for participants to enjoy quiet time, get acquainted with one another, and share a beverage and snack.
Our restorative yoga practice will guide you into a deep state of rest and relaxation. With the use of blankets, bolsters, and yoga blocks, we will allow the body to rest completely on the ground. Our "work" in this class is to meet ourselves in each moment, with each breath, allowing the body to let go of muscular effort and and tension,
Complete beginners are welcome...no yoga experience is necessary. All props will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you'd like.
How this unique class works:
Enjoy this two hour mini-retreat! The first 15 minutes of class are reserved for attendees to arrive, settle in and unwind from their day, to enjoy some quiet time, a beverage and a snack perhaps, and connect with the other participants if they'd like. Additional time is available after the practice for participants to hang out, mix and mingle over beverages and mindfully-paired snacks.
